Today, the term Xeriscaping is used to describe a specific technique of landscape, one that uses less water by design. Treebeard Landscape continues to apply Xeriscaping design to all areas of San Diego by converting your existing irrigation and plant pallet to a beautiful landscape that requires less water and less maintenance saving your association money on water use and landscape maintenance.
Treebeard Landscape started removing large turf areas and converting high water use landscape to low water use landscape in 1978 by planting native plant materials and importing tree mulch. Back then tree mulch was not utilized in the landscape and most of it ended up in the landfill. The professionals at Treebeard observed how the mulch controlled weed growth, helped the soil retain moisture and as the mulch decomposed the soil regained organic composition.
